Search, Hunt, Find
with Rich Cassens
Join us for a small, hands-on scent work training session with experienced scent work instructor and search-and-rescue handler Rich Cassens!
With only five working teams, this two-hour session is designed to give handlers an opportunity to work their dogs, ask questions, troubleshoot challenges, and continue developing their skills in a supportive environment.
Whether you're newer to scent work or already competing, the goal is to meet each team where they are, build confidence, and help both dogs and handlers continue progressing.
Depending on the experience and needs of the participating teams, training may include:
Building and developing hunt drive
Trained Final Response (TFR)
Vehicle searches
Different hide types and search scenarios
Problem-solving and learning to read your dog
Improving handler skills and teamwork
This is a working training session, not just a lecture! You'll have the opportunity to work your dog, receive individualized feedback, and learn by watching other teams.
Rich will be leading the instruction, while For the Love of Dog Training will be hosting the event at our training warehouse in Oroville.
