Official AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluation Included for Teams Ready to Test

Your dog doesn't have to be ready to pass the Canine Good Citizen test to join us. That's what we're here to work toward!

Good Dog, Good Citizen is a five-week group class that uses the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) framework to build practical obedience, everyday manners, neutrality, and reliability. Whether your goal is to earn an official AKC title or simply have a dog who can navigate the world a little more politely, this class is designed to help you get there.

We're not spending five weeks drilling a test. We're taking the ten CGC skills and using them as a foundation for the things that actually matter in everyday life: walking politely on leash, staying engaged around distractions, greeting people without jumping, existing calmly around other dogs, handling unexpected situations, and listening even when something much more interesting is happening.

Class sizes are intentionally limited to five dog-and-handler teams, allowing for individualized coaching, weekly homework, and plenty of opportunities to troubleshoot the challenges you're experiencing with your own dog.

If your dog is ready to take the official AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluation at the end of the program, we'll provide that opportunity. If they're not quite there yet, that's okay too! You'll still benefit from the entire five-week course, an
